Information on Using your Dental Insurance Plans for Treatment:
After you have discussed your dental treatments with our dental team we are always pleased to complete a pre-authorization to send to your insurance company for confirmation of your coverage. This will enable you to plan your finances before starting with treatment. We are happy to discuss fees and payment options with you.
Did you know?
- Our fees are based on our clinical expertise, quality of care and materials.
- Dental benefits are changing rapidly, with many reductions in your coverage. Many necessary treatments may no longer be covered by your plan.
- Dental benefit companies do not inform dental office of changes to your policy.
- Benefit coverage is a contract between yourself, the insurance company and your employer, not the dentist.
- We suggest that you get updated information from your insurance company before making your dental appointments. We encourage our patients to know their plan, in order to eliminate disappointments with payment and reimbursement.
Some companies offer 100% coverage based on dental fee guides from previous years. We have to charge this year's fees based on the guide provided by the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, which may be higher.
- After your appointment we will complete and send a claim form to your insurance company for payment of their portion of the treatment. We request that you pay your portion owing on the treatment at each appointment.
Paying for Dental Treatment not covered by Dental Plans:
-
For your convenience we accept VISA, MasterCard and Bank Convenience Cards.
-
Payment is due upon completion of services at each appointment.
-
For major treatment, financial arrangements may be considered. Please contact your dentist for further details.
